RIMS has a large, purpose built workshop facility located in Derwent Park, near Hobart. In January 2005 a smaller facility in George Town was opened to better service the needs of our northern Tasmanian clients. RIMS workshop facilities are wide ranging and include:

• Clean Room and Test Bench – enabling the rebuilding and testing of all types of hydraulic and pneumatic pumps, motors, cylinders and valves.
• Machining Division – with lathes, drills, milling machines and surface grinders including a Ryazan lathe (swing diameter 700mm, between centres 3000mm) and Vernier mill (x – 1245mm, y – 750mm, z – 850mm).
• An independent Fitting Division catering for the repair of industrial pumps and gearboxes.
• Cylinder Overhaul section which includes a 700mm by 6000mm hone.
• Welding Division – specialising in the construction of tanks, power packs, davits, haulers, winches, cranes and repairs to all associated equipment.
• RIMS is a Powerteam service agent.
